Holly Anttonen
Choreographer
Holly is a versatile freelance choreographer with just over 17 years of experience in the competitive dance world. From the moment Holly began dancing, she was fascinated by the choreography aspect of dance. At a young age, she found herself contributing her ideas for group choreography around the studio which led to her first teaching job at 16 years old. Throughout her competitive years, Holly has achieved many accolades and opportunities which have helped to inspire Holly into the dancer and choreographer she is today.
In 2017, Holly was granted a scholarship to attend the NRG dance project in San Francisco which from there, she attended many classes with the Cantinas arts foundation in Malibu. In the same year Holly attended several auditions in the Toronto area which lead to performing on Dundas Square, youth day in 2017.
After being a dance teacher for both group and solo routines, Holly began exercising her craft by hosting several workshops and events for the dance community through the vessel of her platform, Thunder Bay Dances. Recently, Holly has been enjoying her role as a freelance choreographer, being recognized at local competitions for her choreography in competitive routines of all ages. She has also found joy in teaching the foundations of dance to a college arts class. Looking back on the past several years, Holly has especially enjoyed forming new friendships with her dancers and their incredible parents!
Finding unique ways to contribute to each dancer’s growth is something Holly is very passionate about.
