Jordan Tucker

Jordan Tucker - IDA Faculty
Faculty - Hip Hop Instructor

International Dance Academy is so excited to introduce Jordan Tucker to our faculty list and will be introducing all boys recreational hip hop classes, as well as a Adults hip hop class. Jordan began his education in the expression of the body through music and movement at a young age with the Fort William Figure Skating Club. In his time with the club he excelled in the Dance and Free programs of the sport. Jordan continued his education at St Patrick High School and took part in the dramatic and theatre arts programs there, showing much promise in the dance and stage performance areas. He went on from performing in and directing and choreographing class projects to scenes of school productions (Beauty and the Beast) to entire productions themselves (A Harry Potter Spoof).

Post secondary school Jordan attended Lakehead University and began dancing with International Dance Academy under the instruction of Laura McRury, Mitzi Vecchio, and Tina Vieira who honed his technique in ballet, jazz, and hip hop respectively bringing him to a competitive level in just nine months. Jordan studied dance and performance further under Stephanie Depiero and performed in two of the Army of Sass - Thunder Bay productions (Alice in Wonderland as Queen of Hearts, Cabaret as Mama T). Jordan has enjoyed travelling as well to workshops to further hone his dance skills and has worked with Sarah Joe Fazio, Sam Fiorello, and Brian Santora to name a few. He is so excited to share his passion for hip-hop with all his students.
