Jade was born and raised in Thunder Bay and has been dancing since the age of 3. She has studied and performed a variety of styles, including hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, musical theatre, modern and contemporary. She has graduated from Confederation College, receiving a diploma in Early Childhood Education, and is current studying at Lakehead University. She is going into her third year of her Honors Bachelors of Arts in Psychology degree, and is minoring in Sociology.
Since the age of 7, Jade has been competing in both in town and out of town competitions. She has competed in groups, duets and trios, winning top overall awards such as people's & judge’s choice awards, encore performances and scholarships. She became an assistant at the age of 13, and this will be her second year being an instructor at International Dance Academy. During her high school years, she participated in field cheering leading for 4 years, and choreographed dances for all her drama performances.
Jade was a student at International Dance Academy for 12 years, and during that time she completed exams in both jazz and ballet. She has been involved with performance in the community, including Dance for a Cure for Alzheimer's, Valhalla Gala with the Hammarskjold dance team and The Lakehead Music Festival Yearly Gala’s. Jade is currently part of The Lakehead Dance Team, and last year, played Ultimate Frisbee and Touch Football on Lakehead’s varsity and inter-mural teams.
